WTO Adds ACWH’s Director, Prof. Yueh-Ping (Alex) Yang, and Member, Prof. Ching-Fu Lin, to the Indicative List of Governmental and Non-Governmental Panelists
The Asian Center for WTO & International Health Law and Policy (ACWH) is pleased to announce that ACWH’s Director, Prof. Yueh-Ping (Alex) Yang (National Taiwan University), and Member, Prof. Ching-Fu Lin (National Tsing Hua University), have been approved by the WTO Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) for inclusion in the official Indicative List of Governmental and Non-Governmental Panelists.
Established under Article 8.4 of the WTO Dispute Settlement Understanding (DSU), the Indicative List is an official roster of recognized experts in international trade law who are eligible to serve on WTO dispute settlement panels. The most up-to-date list is available at the following link: https://docs.wto.org/dol2fe/Pages/SS/directdoc.aspx?filename=Q:/WT/DSB/44R70.pdf&Open=True
Earlier this year, the Permanent Mission of the Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu to the WTO initiated the proposal to nominate scholars to the list, successfully completing the nomination process at the DSB meeting on July 24, 2026. This inclusion recognizes Director Yang and Prof. Lin's distinguished expertise in WTO law, international trade, global governance, international health, and emerging international economic law issues.
Congratulations to Director Yang and Prof. Lin on this achievement!
